How you will Achieve More with Intellia

As Systems Administrator at Intellia, you will install new software releases and system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software and hardware-related problems. You will also be the liaison to our Managed Service Provider (MSP), which handles all infrastructure-related activities. Other role responsibilities include:

  • Patch management and software distribution supporting Windows Servers and Desktop clients including third-party applications
  • Administering file and printer shares, folder permissions, and user access rights
  • Configure and support Cloud service providers like Azure, Azure AD, AWS
  • Support the Data Center Operations including data management, network support, Windows server administration, and maintenance
  • Create and configure cybersecurity policies at Intellia
  • Participating in a rotating on-call schedule


Support and administration will be required to the following tools :

  • Messaging platforms (Office 365 , Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Microsoft Teams phone system)
  • Okta Identity Management platform
  • WorkspaceOne (iPhone and Android mobile devices)
  • Helpdesk system
  • Cloud Applications like Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Patch management system
  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) phone system
  • Meraki network devices, ISPs, and VPN


About You

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator, with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, MCP certifications preferred. Expert experience with the following core technologies will be required : Windows 7/2008/2012, Microsoft Office Suite 2016 -2019 and 365 , Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, IIS, Office 365, ESXi 6. 5 , Azure AD , Amazon Web Services, Cisco Meraki.

Additional requirements include:

  • Excellent communication, customer relations, project management, and problem-solving skills are a must
  • Must have the ability to work autonomously on projects and be willing and able to take on new responsibilities as needed
  • Experience implementing IT systems such as patch management, Helpdesk ticketing system, storage platforms, networks, etc.
  • Experience in the Life Sciences industry is a plus


Meet your Future Team

This role will report directly to the Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure and Operations. The Systems Administrator team is made up of one other individual, for a soon-to-be team of 3. The larger IT Operations group is a total of 7 individuals. This is a group of passionate individuals who enjoy working with one another.

While the IT team is currently working virtually, we are tentatively planning a return to the office in September. Although in a virtual environment, the group has made it a priority to continue to foster a sense of community. This includes virtual happy hours, team all-hands meetings, game nights, and more! You can expect to join a hardworking, collaborative environment.
