Regeneron's Bioassay group within the Therapeutic Proteins Department in Tarrytown NY seeks a highly motivated Research Associate who will perform experiments for the in vitro characterization of preclinical and clinical drug candidates in Regeneron's pipeline. In this role, you will be executing experiments utilizing primary PBMCs to characterize antibodies for cytokine release and effector function potential. There may also be some additional opportunity for you to work in the development of cell-based assays to measure the biological activity of antibodies and to support screening and lead candidate selection.

A Typical Day In The Role Might Look Like:
  • Performing Mammalian cell culture
  • Generation of stable cell lines via plasmid- and virus-based techniques
  • Isolation of PBMCs for use in primary cell assays
  • Multi-color flow cytometry to analyze the composition of isolated primary cells
  • Primary cell functional assays to evaluate cytokine release and effector function (ADCC, CDC, CIC, ADCP)
  • Use JMP software to analyze large cytokine release data sets generated from the MSD platform
  • Cell-based reporter assays
  • Plan experiments, including proper controls
  • Analyze data accurately and in a timely manner
  • Record data in an electronic notebook in an accurate and timely manner
  • Connect with supervisor and other lab members in an effective manner
  • Present data within and outside the group clearly and concisely

This Role Might Be For You If:
  • You are able to work comfortably in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and be able to work on multiple projects in parallel independently or as a group
  • You are detail-oriented, and eager to learn/implement new techniques and manage multiple projects in a team-based environment.

This role requires a Bachelor's (with 1-3 years experience) or Masters (with 3+ years experience) in a scientific field. Experience with Cell Culture (adherent and suspension cells), Multi-color flow cytometry, PBMC isolation preferred.

Prior experience with the MSD platform a plus. Some knowledge of or experience with JMP software would be helpful.Experience with assays to test cytokine release potential of antibodies and stable cell line generation a plus.
