The Director, Commercial Business Unit (CBU) Operational Effectiveness supports strategic and operational activities of the Dermatology Therapeutic Business Unit. Partners with sales leadership, marketing and market access to identify opportunities, gaps and solutions to drive commercial success. Serves as the point person to connect activities across TBUs functions as well as functions not reporting into CBU. Enables TBU Head to focus on critical strategic and operational issues.
• Supports strategic and operational analysis as well as takes a lead role in driving large projects within the business, allowing for deep insight and access to the organizational strategy and direction.
• Analyzes existing business strategy and derive recommendations
• Partners with senior leadership to set operational strategy
• Tracks key deliverables for Dermatology TBU and follows up with responsible individuals
• Identifies solutions that support operational efficiencies/effectiveness of Dermatology TBU
• Organize, facilitate and follow up to key TBU meetings, such as Business Reviews, Field and HQ Town Halls, etc
• Partner with Commercial Training on Plan of Action Meetings, Train the Trainer Meetings, Career Development, Selling Models, training curriculum, etc
• Supports and leads special projects related to a variety of corporate initiatives
• Works closely with Field Force Effectiveness individuals to ensure seamless integration of field force into TBU strategies and initiatives
• Develops and supports communication efforts within and outside of TBU
• Interact with the VP's direct reports for staff meetings and business reviews
• Works closely with other CBU Effectiveness Leads to ensure consistency across the brand
• Supports and builds cross-functional relationships with key functional partners across the organization and alliance
• Handles and maintains highly confidential and sensitive information

Requirements:
• Professional experience: 10+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech or related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience - dermatology experience is a plus
• Strong preference for field management (DM) and home office experience (marketing and other relevant experiences)
• Must possess the business acumen necessary to interpret and draw business insights from data analysis to formulate recommendations and execute action plans
• Organizational Skills: Established planning/project management and influencing skills geared towards results/action
• Strategic Agility: Ability to independently prioritize requests and demonstrate long-term thinking. Extensive experience with managing numerous projects concurrently against stringent deadlines with varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast paced environment
• Detail-oriented: Excellent problem-solving skills and a focus on continuous improvement
• Strong Analytical Skills: Data driven with the ability to visualize, articulate and derive insights by making decisions that are sensible given the available information
