We Are Genetic Navigators bringing together passionate, creative and dedicated professionals to join a rapidly-growing startup on our mission to translate novel genetic insights into lifesaving medicines. We are integrating human genetics and functional genomics to decode the mysteries of genetic modifiers, leading us to new medicines we'll develop for a range of severe diseases.

We are seeking a talented early career biologist with a proven track record in some laboratory skills as well as the ability to quickly learn new techniques, and the desire to learn first-hand how biology data generation contributes to the development of novel therapies for patients. Strong candidates will have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and have an abundance of curiosity.

Your Role in Navigating The Maze:

Perform in vitro and ex vivo experiments for target validation and mechanistic studies in support of therapeutics development
  • Engage with members of the team in experimental design, troubleshooting, sample analysis, data interpretation, and report generation
  • Enjoy learning from others, can also work well independently, and is interested in learning how to effectively collaborate with colleagues across functional areas
  • Interested in learning how to present data in biology group and project team meetings
  • Record protocols & data in electronic notebook



Your Navigation Tools:
  • B.S./M.S. in a biological science and at least 1 year of lab experience in an academic, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical setting
  • Excited to drive data generation contributing to a fast-paced team effort
  • Desire to learn new laboratory techniques and perform routine assays
  • Must be detail oriented & organized
  • Strong written & oral communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and running cell-based assays is highly desirable
  • Experience with rodent tissue processing and analysis is highly desirable
  • Experience with human sample processing and analysis is highly desirable
  • Examples of laboratory techniques that may be used in the position include: western blot, ELISA, in vitro enzyme activity assays, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, biochemical assays, qRT-PCR
  • A positive attitude and desire to grow as a scientist
