SENIOR MANAGER, SEC REPORTING

Position Summary:

The SEC Reporting (Senior) Manager is an integral part of a growing accounting team and needs, as we continue to grow our organization. This position requires experience with preparation and filing of external financial reporting documents and related SEC filings, accounting for all equity-based transactions and consolidation, and managing the Company's SOX program. The position requires the individual to have the ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize work, demonstrate accountability, and meet established deadlines.

Reporting to: Associate Director, Accounting and Reporting

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Participate in the coordination and preparation of quarterly reports (Form 10-Q), annual reports (Form 10-K), current reports (Form 8-K), and Proxy
  • Collaborate with various personnel and departments to collect information and input into the above referenced reports; coordinate, review and collect comments on the various drafts; prepare supporting files and schedules; challenge the appropriateness of disclosures; complete all relevant disclosure checklist and related reporting questionnaires
  • Responsible for recording of journal entries and preparing reconciliation related to equity compensation, consolidation, investment, debt, and lease
  • Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules being deliberated by the SEC, US GAAP, PCAOB, or other regulations
  • Assist in the assessment, monitoring, and maintenance of the Company's internal controls over financial reporting, including tracking control gaps and action plans to remediate any identified areas
  • Provide program management support related to the Company's SOX program (e.g. managing PBC request, coordination with internal & external auditors.)
  • Partner with control owners on root cause analysis and action plan progress; perform impact analysis at year-end on deficiencies identified
  • Partner with IT Compliance to implement and monitor comprehensive plans for SOX oversight of relevant IT projects, including implementation of new in-scope systems, conversions and upgrades, to provide reasonable assurance around related control implications
  • Review SOC 1 reports analysis and maintain the listing of key spreadsheets & reports ("IPE") used in the financial reporting
  • Develop and provide training to the control owners to ensure a thorough understanding of the SOX program, control design, and the impact of their control(s) on GBT's financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 key controls
  • Assist with special projects as assigned

 


Qualifications:

 

 

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA required
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting required
  • Mix of professional experiences, including experience in Big 4 public accounting firms and experience at a public company in an SEC role, is a plus
  • Strong technical accounting background with a knowledge of US GAAP, SOX 404, COSO Framework and SEC reporting standards, as well as experience with technical research and XBRL tagging
  • A proactive approach to problem identification and remediation solutions, and excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact and build relationships across all levels of organization
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership with focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong project management skills and able to work independently and effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to work independently, complete work timely, and work well as a team member
  • Strong organization and superior attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word required
  • Experience in Netsuite, ActiveDisclosure, or FloQast is a plus
