Regeneron is looking for a highly motivated R&D Specialist to conduct research in our state-of-the-art facilities and technology to perform qualitative and quantitative mass spectrometry experiments focusing on autoimmune, infectious disease and oncology targets. In this role, you will utilize the latest mass spectrometry techniques for the discovery and validation of novel viral- and cancer-specific antigens from human tissues and cell lines as well as to develop innovative techniques and investigate new technologies to enhance our target discovery efforts.

A Typical Day in the Role Might Look Like:
• Tissue preparations, affinity purification, peptide purification, and the analysis of mass spectrometry data
• Assist in experiments to support ongoing projects.
• Perform assays involving protein purification, cell culture, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation.
• Preparation of a variety of samples for mass spectrometry analysis (i.e. patient tissue biopsies, animal specimens, and cell culture).
• Mass Spectrometry and Immunopeptidomics is a plus.
• Carry out data analysis; maintain a detailed lab notebook and present data at departmental meetings.
• Assist in general laboratory operations: order lab supplies and basic equipment maintenance.

This Role Might Be For You If You Enjoy:
• Designing experiments, draft protocols, execute experiments and perform data analysis.
• Working closely with project teams. This role requires a BS w/6+ yrs or a MS with 0-3 yrs proven experience. Basic knowledge in biochemistry, biophysics, immunology or related life science required. Laboratory skills: Proteins quantitation assays, SDS-PAGE, sample preparation for proteomics preferred. Cell culture experience a plus. Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced collaborative team environment, excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills and excellent computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with R Studio and Python is a plus.
