Who You Are:

BridgeBio is looking for a Senior Director, Head of Commercial FP&A to join the FP&A team reporting to the VP, Head of FP&A. This newly created position will lead the team responsible for building business partner relationships with the organization's commercial leads and the Chief Commercial Officer. This role will drive and oversee all aspects of FP&A Commercial business partnering, providing financial leadership, insights, planning, and analysis, and managing revenues and expenses. Success in this role will require cultivating an effective business partnership between the Commercial functional areas and Finance.  FP&A at BridgeBio is in a growth mode, requiring a start-up mentality and an ability to work collaboratively to support all areas of Finance, including the Accounting/Revenue recognition teams. This person will be responsible for demonstrating strong communication, influencing, and strategic thinking skills that will drive value to BridgeBio, along with the ability to navigate in a complex matrixed business model.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate across Commercial and Finance to coordinate and manage consolidated revenue reporting across the Commercial business and build a bottom-up budget process for Commercial expenses
  • Manage the monthly and quarterly close process for this team, including expense accruals, management reporting, and budget vs. actual variance analysis, along with a strong understanding of the Gross to Net revenue process and forecast
  • Present financial results and analyses to Commercial and Finance executives
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analyses and project support for affiliates and executive leadership
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to direct reports, and build a competent and talented team through the attraction, training, and development of professionals to meet business needs
  • Partner with Commercial Analytics to monitor/develop insights from key business drivers, including demand, inventory, payer mix, pricing, and market share
  • Partner with Technical Accounting and the Commercial team to analyze and influence complex contract proposals that may have revenue recognition implications
  • Support and lead a culture of inclusion, diversity, and collaboration across the finance organization


Education, Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant finance experience in a highly analytical environment at a global biotech or biopharma company, specifically with Commercial launch experience
  • Exceptional ability to partner and influence a team effectively and deliver high-quality results that positively impact the business and improve our financial planning processes
  • Knowledge of Finance related business processes and internal controls
  • Strong (verbal and written) communicator capable of explaining/presenting complex financial concepts and problems clearly and effectively to all constituents
  • Self-starter and problem-solver with a high degree of intellectual curiosity and the ability to establish clear priorities and goals
  • Customer service-oriented; able to understand Affiliate requirements and nuances of the BridgeBio operating model to drive systems and processes to fit customer needs
  • Strong team player; able to integrate and thrive in a matrix environment
  • Experience working within a SOX control environment
  • Proven experience with the use and management of financial planning systems such as Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, SAP, or similar tools
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, business, economics, or related field; MBA is a plus
