Summary Description

In this hands-on role, the Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading, scoping, executing, overseeing, and delivering all aspects of IT projects at Myovant. This includes managing a project team of contractors to deliver agreed-upon objectives on time and within their specified budgets. In addition, this individual will aid in the continuous development and ongoing operations of the IT Project Management Office (PMO) and department budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight and guidance on IT project portfolio and manage the execution of integrated cross-functional IT-related initiatives
  • Lead crucial project activities such as business analysis, process mapping, and requirements-gathering workshops
  • Work with business partners and lead initiatives, develop strategies, define project needs, and execute IT projects (which may include but are not limited to new systems implementation (GxP and non-GxP), system enhancements, integration projects, etc.)
  • Scope and turn nebulous business goals into concrete and actionable plans.
  • Collaborate with department leads to develop and track targeted metrics across IT for regular operations reviews
  • Continually monitor project schedules, deliverables, and budgets
  • Create strategies to mitigate project risks, issues resolution, and contingency planning
  • Provide project regular status reports to all stakeholders including progress, risks, issues, and solutions
  • Manage project resources to deliver positive business outcomes. Resources include but are not limited to timelines, budgets, and personnel (contractors and business project team members).
  • Assist in the development of IT PMO strategies. Implement and maintain PMO metrics, tools, and processes.
  • Support continuous improvement of the IT PMO

Core Competencies
  • Deep understanding of IT SDLC and GxP systems implementation/enhancements, and associated validation deliverables and dependencies
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, including SaaS solutions, web, database, application technologies
  • Experience with leading and successfully delivering GxP projects of varying sizes
  • Ability to communicate system limitations and constraints to teams who may not be familiar with technical jargon and terminologies
  • Experience with transitioning implementation projects to operations; knowledge of service desk, support operations, and best practices are a plus
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved with them
  • Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to effectively manage and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • Track record of exercising good judgment and making decisions that are appropriate for the organization
  • Results-driven, takes initiative and ownership to accomplish work
  • Adaptable and flexible; embraces change in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment

REQUIREMENTS (Education and Experience)
  • Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Arts in a relevant scientific discipline
  • At least 3+ years of experience leading systems implementation projects in an FDA- and GxP-regulated industry
  • Overall 8+ years of IT project management experience
