Position Summary:

The Manager of Marketing Communications and Events is responsible for collaboratively creating and tactically executing marketing communications programs, leveraging experiential (events), traditional, and digital tactics. This role is largely responsible for planning and executing tactics for integrated marketing and media programs to support product launches, campaigns and ongoing sales initiatives for lead and demand generation and managing tradeshows, events and sponsorship initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of marketing projects, leveraging both traditional (collateral, literature, exhibits, etc.) and digital (social media, digital advertising, websites, email, etc.).
  • Develop and oversee the execution of materials, presentations, product labeling and other marketing communications collateral for launches, campaigns and other marketing efforts as well as tradeshows and events.
  • Facilitate internal review, approval, execution and distribution of marketing materials and content.
  • Handle the execution and logistics of U.S. and major global tradeshows and exhibitions. Support planning and logistics of international meetings and tradeshows.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive event project plan for all setup tasks, promotional items, collateral, bookings and other details. Manage cost estimates, resourcing and creative development of exhibits and displays. Report on event registration, attendance and activity on a regular basis.
  • Continually assess state of messaging distribution in all materials – maintain “source of truth” documents and guidelines, update existing collateral, websites as appropriate, and archive outdated versions.
  • Maintain a system and process of executing revisions, informing stakeholders and distributing updated materials as necessary.
  • Ensure all sales and marketing collateral reflects and adheres to corporate branding standards.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field or experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing Communications and/or Events developing content and implementing campaigns and programs.
  • 5+ years of experience with marketing (traditional and digital tactics).
  • Experience in medical device, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or other regulated markets.
  • Experience in dermatology, a plus.
  • Experience in graphic design or knowledge of graphic design elements (eg. artwork file handling), a plus.

Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office Suite applications (especially PowerPoint), Google Docs or SmartSheet.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design programs and file formats (Adobe Creative Cloud applications).
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize high impact marketing programs, from execution to completion, and report on progress and results.
  • Excellent oral written communication skills and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work conscientiously and with minimal direction, using good judgment, taking initiative to accomplish short and long-range projects, and recommend actions with minimal direction.
  • Ability to work as a team member, multi-task and be very flexible to adapt to the ever-changing work priorities and requirements of a dynamic, fast growing company.
  • Ability to travel up to 20-25% of the time. Overnight and/or international travel may be required.
  • Ability to lift 10-15 pounds.
