Job Details
A Typical Day in the Role of R&D Specialist Might Look Like:
- Executing formulation development, characterization, and stability studies for monoclonal antibody and drug conjugates programs, such as ADC.
- Participating in the development of phase-appropriate biochemical and bioanalytical methods as well as high-throughput biophysical methods for characterization of stability and degradation mechanisms of drug products.
- Performing routine sample analysis to support formulation and product development activities.
- Contributing to formulation development technical reports to support the process development and manufacturing of clinical drug substances and drug products.
- Utilizing statistical science knowledge for study design and data analysis.
- Presenting work at group, department, and cross-functional meetings.
This Role Might Be for You If:
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, are a great teammate with effective communication skills.
To be considered for this you should have a B.S with 5 + years or M.S. with 2 + years with a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics or a related field with 2-4 years of relevant industry working experience. Good understanding of protein chemistry, analytical method development, bioprocessing, and biomolecule product development is desirable.
- Hands-on experience with biochemical and biophysical techniques for protein characterization. Techniques would include: chromatography (SEC, IEX, RP), viscosity, gel electrophoresis (CE-SDS, MCE, cIEF, iCE), particle size (DLS, HIAC, MFI), spectroscopy (UV-Vis, CD, AUC, fluorescence), and thermostability characterization (DSC, DSF) is desirable.
- Familiarity with common laboratory software (Empower, ELN, etc.)
- Experience using statistical software (JMP, MS Office, etc.)
