The Sr. Manager, Speaker Bureau and Peer to Peer Operations supports the development and execution of professional education programs for IMBRUVICA®. This position involves strategic oversight, planning and coordination, and tactical execution of the speaker bureau and other peer to peer programs. The Sr. Manager will need to demonstrate strategic thinking, deliver process and operational improvements, and drive excellence in execution. Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:

Strategy and collaboration:

  • Generate annual strategic plan and budget for speaker bureau and peer to peer execution, coordinating across multiple internal functions
  • Develop overall speaker bureau execution strategy in collaboration with Sales and Marketing leadership
  • Partner with internal Thought Leader Liaisons regarding KOL interactions and communications
  • Collaborate with internal departments including marketing, sales operations, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, payer/access, corporate compliance, and IT

Home office / field stakeholder liaison:

  • Engage with sales force and sales management as needed to ensure seamless speaker program execution
  • Lead marketing and field communications
  • Manage business escalations

Process oversight / operational improvements:

  • Day to day tactical planning and execution with vendors
    • Asset development (invites, RTEs, etc.)
    • Lead asset review and approval through the legal, regulatory, and medical review process
  • Execution of speaker training meetings, coordinating schedule and logistics with vendors and meeting materials approval with internal reviewers.
  • Develop and execute new programing formats and offerings within Peer to Peer
  • Develop program and process efficiencies

Vendor management:

  • Primary point of contact with multiple speaker bureau vendors, day to day operations
  • Drive excellence in tactical execution
  • Implement program/process improvements
  • Ad hoc project leadership or participation including vendor audits, agg spend reporting process changes, new state legislation management, direct and oversee survey processes

Bureau management:

  • Annual speaker bureau planning and approval
  • Speaker contracting
  • Track speaker metrics, including utilization, program evaluations, training needs and completions, and determination of speaker contract renewals
  • Develop strategies for balanced speaker utilization across the field force

Technology

  • Business Technology Team Collaboration: CRM, Dashboards
  • Direct projects in partnership with IT to ensure full integration with digital platforms including Veeva
  • Lead portal updates for field facing dashboards and ensuring field facing content is current

Compliance and Reporting

  • Program tracking, analytical reporting including oversight of executive and compliance dashboards, contracts management, and field program targeting analyses.
  • Oversight of agg spend reporting
  • Quarterly reports, Annual Agg Spend, Monthly monitor reporting, Speaker Programming and Utilization, Ad Hoc
  • Ad hoc analytics / analysis

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
  • 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech; experience in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology preferred; speaker bureau experience preferred, sales experience a plus
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and solve problems
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive business results in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working closely with field sales organizations to implement marketing programs with measurable business impact
  • Outstanding project management and budget management skills
  • Experience managing multiple vendors and agency partners
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, pharma industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate strategic vision into tactical action, identify the highest impact ideas and plans and focus efforts by resource allocation
  • Ability to assess risks and benefits to make timely, sound decisions with various levels of information, and accept responsibly for meeting and/ or exceeding objectives
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time
