Principia is seeking a PhD-level Immunology Scientist/Senior Scientist to accelerate their discovery of novel immuno-modulatory therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The position requires significant hands-on laboratory bench work as well as managing external immunology research activities. Demonstration of high bench productivity and problem-solving skills, as well as a collaborative, collegial approach to scientific inquiry is essential.

  • The candidate will interact with a multi-disciplinary research team including pharmacologists, chemists, and DMPK representatives. The candidate must have excellent oral and written scientific communication skills and be able provide technical and intellectual immunology guidance across programs and functions.

  • The candidate will design and execute in vitro and in vivo studies to interrogate immunology and pharmacology of key target molecules. Deep expertise in conventional immunology assays and techniques, including primary immune cell isolation and culture and flow cytometry, is required.

  • Experience with cellular immunology assay development and/or organoid culture systems is a plus.

  • Experience with in vivo mechanistic models and models of autoimmune/inflammatory disease (rodents or other species) is a plus.

  • Experience with management of CRO’s is highly desired.

Basic Qualifications:

  • PhD in biochemistry, biology, immunology, or a related field with 0 – 5 years of post-doctoral and/or pharmaceutical research experience OR

  • BS/MS with 8+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical research.
