The Director of Strategy will develop and implement Cellarity’s strategy, touching on pipeline, platform, partnerships, and data, among others. You will lead enterprise-wide efforts in each of these efforts, working with multifunction teams to explore new ways of pursuing our strategic objectives. You will help build a new language of drug discovery that draws from biology, advanced analytics, clinical medicine, and pharmacology and shape Cellarity’s distinctive augmented intelligence approach to discovery. Central to the success of this role will be your ability to range from the big picture to the minutiae of execution. Given the strategic leadership required for this critical role, our expectation is that this leader will be bold, creative, driven, and inspiring. The individual in this position will work in close collaboration with every member of the Cellarity Leadership team and report to the Head of Strategy and Partnerships.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Working directly with the Head of Strategy and Partnerships, you will:
- Develop and implement elements of Cellarity, business, platform and pipeline strategies
- Support external partnerships conversations
- Help develop Cellarity ‘value story’ for investors, partners, and external audiences’
- Identify new opportunities for growth
- Lead company-wide initiatives, including strategic efforts and operational design
- And a multitude of others
- MD, PhD, or equivalent with 5+ years experience in a Pharma/Biotech/Health Technology/Hospital/Academic/Govt/Top Tier Management Consulting company required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated teambuilding and leadership skills within matrix organizations
- Experience in developing and leading high performance cross functional teams to achieve desired outcomes with internal and external teams
Cellarity was founded in 2017 at Flagship Pioneering's innovation foundry, Flagship Labs. Cellarity is a first-of-its-kind therapeutics company that is discovering and developing medicines by studying and altering cell behaviors. Cellarity has developed a powerful, generalizable platform harnessing single-cell technologies, machine learning and proprietary data models of disease to unveil the network state of a given cell, defining the cell's behavior. The platform digitizes and quantifies cellular behaviors, unravels the network dynamics that govern those behaviors, and generates medicines that can direct them.
