As a member of the Contracts and Pricing Team, the Contracts & Pricing Senior Manager will be responsible for supporting the contract execution and implementation for three general medicine medical products. The primary responsibility of the role is to manage our Latest Estimate Discount Rate (LEDR) process and ensure all stakeholders have provided accurate financial information. In addition to the LEDR process, responsibilities include but are not limited to ASP calculations, government pricing oversight, analytical modeling, pricing modeling, contract implementation and GPO membership management.

This role will require a strong foundation in analytical modeling and provider contracting and is a good avenue to other future commercial healthcare roles. Amgen has strong training, education, and mentoring programs to ensure staff are successful.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer the LEDR process for Prolia, EVENITY and AVSOLA plus any new general medicine medical benefit products in Amgens portfolio
  • Support Coverage & Pricing strategic planning, quarterly business reviews, and forecasts
  • Participate in pricing and contracting scenarios, contract decisions, LRP management
  • Constructively challenge teams by providing disconfirming information and encouraging innovative problem solving
  • Develop and lead contract reporting for field based teams and internal leadership
  • Support contracting strategy development with analysis to support both payer and provider account strategies

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree & 2years of Sales or Marketing Operations experience OR
  • Masters degree & 6 years of Sales or Marketing Operations experience, OR
  • Bachelors degree & 8 years of Sales or Marketing Operations experience, OR
  • Associates degree &10 years of Sales or Marketing Operations experience, OR
  • High school diploma/GED & 12 years of Sales or Marketing Operations experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong mathematical modeling skills in Excel, preferably experience with financial or economic modeling
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and strategic thinking ability
  • Solid understanding of US health care system and key stakeholders a plus
  • Finance, forecasting or other quantitative analysis experience
  • MBA or other masters degree
  • Results and solutions-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proven project management skills and cross-functional leadership
  • Ability to work through others and manage in a matrix environment
  • Ability to handle and achieve results with multiple competing priorities
