As an Agile Coach, you will be part of the IS Agile Center of Excellence team, coaching Scrum Masters, teams and program stakeholders using agile frameworks, processes and tools. You will be an organizational change agent who advocates agile techniques to increase collaboration, predictability and transparency across the IS organization. In addition, you will develop and institutionalize enterprise agile capabilities and strategies for continuous improvement and scaling.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Systemize fit-for-purpose agile ceremonies across teams and coach leaders on agile values, scrum, design thinking, customer value, product management etc.
  • Structure multiple teams to address dependencies and scalability (e.g. Scrum@Scale, SAFe)
  • Partner with stakeholders and Product Owner to develop strategic charter, team composition and resource plans
  • Coach and train other Scrum Masters on diverse teams from inception through sustainable stage
  • Develop and deliver agile training and scrum team launches
  • Advice and train teams to adopt software development best practices, drive automation and frequent production release schedules
  • Engage with stakeholders to drive improvements in agile maturity and culture, while demonstrating quantifiable progress towards achieving higher performing teams and improved business outcomes
  • Where applicable, promote and facilitate adoption of DevOps and agility within teams
  • Use coaching techniques that increase collaboration, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation
  • Cultivate teams and leadership through a shift from command-and-control management practices to collaborative, team centric environments

What we expect from you

  • Experience delivering technical products on diverse teams using agile, scrum or Kanban
  • Proven track record creating high performing teams, leveraging various agile training tools and techniques
  • Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira, Jira Align and Confluence
  • Familiarity with Amgen City Planning platforms like ServiceNow, Amazon Web Services, Salesforce, MuleSoft etc.
  • Able to provide leadership through influence to achieve the required results
  • Strong Project management, negotiation, planning and organizational change management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to set the context and present on complex subjects in clear and concise manner
  • High learning agility, innovation and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with concept of continuous integration, continuous delivery and automation
