We are currently looking to fill a Drug Product Specialist position within our Drug Product Process Sciences team. This position will provide support for the design and development of drug product visual inspection processes. The individual will conduct laboratory studies to optimize drug product visual inspection unit operations and will be part of a team responsible for industrialization, troubleshooting, and validation at manufacturing sites, both international and domestic.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:
  • Performing drug product visual inspection process unit operation characterization in a laboratory setting and provide recommendations to cross-functional teams. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and execute development and technology transfer activities.
  • Performing sample analysis as needed. In collaboration with peers, procure, implement, and evaluate new technologies for potential future use in the drug product process.
  • Developing understanding of light interaction with matter and subsequent detection of by various optical detection techniques (human eye and automated) to inform process parameter selection, optimization, and control.
  • Maintaining an awareness of relevant equipment and technology vendors, their existing and planned offerings, and their anticipated performance. Communicating relevant information to peers and teams.
  • Collating and analyzing data and authoring technical memos. Co-authoring or contributing to documents and reports authored by cross-functional teams.
  • Supporting product life-cycle initiatives.
  • Supporting process investigations and assist with product impact assessment for change controls and internal/external investigations, primarily through laboratory investigations and data analysis.

  • Are okay with occasional travel up to 20% of the time


To be considered for this role you must hold a Bachelor's degree in BS in chemistry, physics, biology, biochemistry, mathematics, or other natural or technical science and the following minimum amounts of relevant industry experience for each level:
• Associate Specialist: 0-2+ years
• Specialist: 2+ years; 1+ years with MS
• Senior Specialist: 5+ years; 4+ with MS, 0+ with PhD

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
