The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for supporting and executing site-based sourcing strategies in conjunction with CapEx (Construction) and Facilities function(s). These strategies will include support of all facets of architectural/engineering services, construction services, capital equipment, and other facilities related goods and services. You will work collaboratively with the Real Estate and Facilities Management (REFM) and Research & Pre-clinical Development (R&pD) business units to commercially & competitively assess a global and local supplier base, including but not limited to pre-qualifying bidders, supporting eRFX activities, assists with bid reviews, leveling, and proposal evaluations, price negotiations, and preparing contract award recommendations.

As a Sourcing Specialist, a typical day may include:
  • Assisting with the development of sourcing strategies and assist in the bidding process for various Construction, Facilities and Equipment projects.
  • Developing and sustaining vendor and customer relationships as well as ensuring accountability exists within the category and performance is measured
  • Working with partners and business leaders on their needs to provide sourcing support for multiple projects
  • Building continuous quality and service from suppliers to support efficient business operations
  • Tracking project status, annual spend / savings and analyzing spend data to identify inconsistent data reporting and any possible disconnects with taxonomy.
  • Assisting with and identifying global opportunities, for RFPs, category management and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), etc.
  • Preparing contract agreements (SOW's) and amendments and ensure valid contracts are in place

This role may be for you if you:
  • Have good working knowledge of sourcing and procurement, planning supplier interface and negotiations, systems applications such as Zycus/Ariba, ICERTIS (Contracts Management), Spend Analytics, MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Possess good negotiations skills
  • Have cost modeling knowledge
  • Possess excellent verbal and written skills
  • Have excellent presentation skills
  • Have the ability to build consensus, teamwork, and creativity within a collaborative team under minimal direction
  • Program management experience and project management experience a definite plus

To be considered for this role you must possess: A Bachelors degree plus 2 - 5 years of relevant, progressive experience within procurement, including 3 or more years experience directly within a sourcing specific role. Work experience within a biopharmaceutical company or related industry is preferred
