Senior Accountant

Position Summary: As a member of the Accounting and Finance team, the Senior Accountant will report directly to Manager, Equity Administration and Accounting. You will be primarily responsible for all aspects of equity accounting and stock administration as well as payroll accounting. The ideal candidate should be a fast learner, great communicator, team player and detail oriented. Your Role: Equity accounting and financial reporting- Prepare quarter/year-end equity journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare equity work papers in support of the Company’s SEC filings.
- Facilitate the external audit of equity related processes and disclosures.
- Ensure that payroll and stock plan administration operations are conducted in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls and perform corresponding process controls.
- Responsible for daily stock plan administration using Certent, the Company’s equity management platform. Responsibilities include equity award data entry, processing restricted stock releases, stock option exercises and ESPP purchases.
- Monitor and report on key employee metrics related to ESPP and Equity Incentive Plans, including vesting schedules and award transactions (purchases, exercises, and forfeitures).
- Assist with preparing and delivering content for employee equity-related education.
- Prepare Form 3/4 filings on behalf of the Company’s Section 16 officers and directors.
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing including review of ADP register for completeness and accuracy (new hires, terminations, ESPP deductions, bonuses, etc.) and recording of journal entries.
- Prepare quarterly bonus and PTO expense workpapers and record corresponding journal entries.
- Ensure accurate and timely equity-related tax withholding and reporting to Payroll.
- Assist with maintaining ESPP payroll calendar including the facilitation of employee enrollments and periodic stock purchases.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or other relevant field of business.
- 2+ years of equity compensation accounting experience.
- Thorough understanding of all aspects of the stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and project management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Exposure to equity and payroll administration.
- Experience working with modern accounting, equity administration and payroll software, such as Sage Intacct, Certent and ADP.
- Highly motivated and committed to improving processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills
- Ability to work both individually and with groups.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
