Arcus Biosciences is actively seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented candidate for the position of Scientist in the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Department. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing bioanalytical supports to our discovery and development programs.
Core responsibilities:
- Develop and qualify LC-MS/MS based bioanalytical methods
- Conduct sample analysis in support of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and toxicology studies
- Analyze and report preclinical pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic results
- Oversee method transfer, development, and validation at CROs
- Maintain accurate and detailed scientific notebooks
- Evaluate and implement new biotechnologies and laboratory techniques
- Contribute to establish and implement best practices
- Mentor research associates and provide guidance on assay development and troubleshooting
- Work independently and in collaboration with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
Qualifications:
- PhD degree in pharmaceutical sciences or related discipline, or MS degree with 5+ years of industrial experience
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in developing LC-MS/MS based bioanalytical methods
- Experience with SCIEX Mass Spectrometer instrument and Analyst software preferred
- Good knowledge of regulatory bioanalytical guidance. GLP experience preferred
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, attention to details and demonstrated ability to work within schedules and deadline
- Open minded and a good team player
- Excellent communication and writing skills
