Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Develops and articulates effective account management strategies & execution plans in collaboration with field-based teams within US Market Access and US Oncology at US large healthcare systems, comprehensive cancer centers and Integrated Delivery Networks at accounts aligned to Hybrid Oncology GPOs. Works collaboratively across functions to engage additional stakeholders as appropriate.
    • Provide strategic recommendations to brand to drive and position AbbVie in institutions. This includes Formulary, P&T, EMR/EMR Order Sets, Clinical Pathways, Specialty Pharmacy (institutional dispensing) and Access.
    • Proactively incorporate HCDM strategy in the evolving Oncology marketplace to identify and provide insights informing future strategy and direction at GPO affiliated US large healthcare systems, comprehensive cancer centers and Integrated Delivery Networks and their key HCDMs
    • Ensure deep and broad market knowledge across the GPO affiliated institution segment, and Hematology/Oncology franchise, including healthcare landscape changes, healthcare ecosystem impact, market access, key managed care and payer dynamics in Hematology/Oncology marketplace. Inform and update leadership of trends and analysis in the channel.
    • Lead the coordination and alignment with Oncology Partner (GNE) on account management strategy & execution at GPO affiliated US large healthcare systems and comprehensive cancer centers.

 Capabilities:

    • Build and constantly improve a working knowledge of large healthcare systems, comprehensive cancer centers and Integrated Delivery Networks affiliated to hybrid oncology GPO, their structure, goals, trends, the entire healthcare ecosystem and a thorough understanding of the changing healthcare policies that effect the reimbursement trends and access of the AbbVie Oncology portfolio.
    • Ensure In-Field Team Effectiveness (IFTE) coordination with AbbVie field based cross-functional teams. 
    • In collaboration with Training and other functional colleagues, develop, share and provide quantitative and qualitative account acumen and analysis that leads to productive business relationships across US large healthcare systems, comprehensive cancer centers and large GPO practices.

Qualifications

Basic:

  • 7+ years of Pharmaceutical Marketing or Sales experience, including 5 years of experience in oncology GPO sales leadership,  or account management
  • Contract negotiation experience
  • Experience in marketing/program management with oncology GPO and specialty pharmacy channel or Hospital Channel
  • Ability to develop and manage projects cross-functionally across multiple brand teams
  • Understanding of attributes of other functional areas and impact of relevant decisions as well as the ability to adapt to quickly changing oncology landscapes within the oncology market
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with and influence peers and management
  • Demonstrated results orientation
  • Demonstrated strategic planning capabilities
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products (e.g. CFR 210/211, cGMP).
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree
  • Relationships and an understanding of working across key Hospitals, Health Care Institutions, or oncology GPO executive leadership and the director-levels (pharmacy, medical)
