Senior Data Engineer - - Visualization Engineer


What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will responsible for defining the integrated user experience and building the capabilities to deliver a great customer journey across EEAs data and analytics product suite.

The data and analytics product suite includes: The Enterprise Data Lake and Enterprise Data Fabric, Data Marketplace, Data Science Workbench, Search and NLP Platform, Reference Data Platform and the Visualization and Insights Platform consisting of Tableau and Spotfir

Role Responsibilities:

  • Define a vision for the integrated customer journey that will delight users of the Data and Analytics Products

  • Create working mockups that demonstrate persona focused customer journeys across the suite of products and iterate on the journey until the experience is seamless.

  • Develop reusable frameworks and UX assets to accelerate the development of new pages throughout the product suite.

  • Work with developers from the Product Teams to write production code to deliver on the desired customer experience

  • Be constantly curious and feed your passion and interests in cutting-edge technology and as you are given time to look for new and innovative ways to do business differently, better, and more cost effectively

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree


Masters degree and 3 years of Information Systems experience


Bachelors degree and 5 years of Information Systems experience


Associates degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience


High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in computer science or related field

  • 5+ yrs of object-oriented design, data structures, design patterns and problem solving in a software development environment, preferably using agile/SCRUM methodologies

  • Experience with web service technologies, modern programming languages, and application frameworks such as Python, Java, React, Django, Angular, etc.

  • Experience doing Front End Development with an eye for user experience on web or data applications

  • Demonstrable ability to work with users and other senior architects in selling the vision and providing content and standard methodologies

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps

  • Ability to work in a startup-like environment with little supervision

  • Biotech / Pharma experience is a plus
