Job Details

The Automation Core group is seeking a hardworking Research Associate to join their team. The person will be responsible for operation and day-to-day maintenance of a variety of automated systems.

In this role, a typical day may include:
• Validate, implement, operate and troubleshoot automated protocols on both existing and newly planned automated systems from, but not limited to, Hamilton Robotics, and HighRes Biosolutions.
• Contribute innovative solutions to increase efficiency and decrease costs while continuing to improve sample throughput and data quality.
• Stay up-to-date on new technologies and evaluate how adopting new equipment will impact workflows.
• Maintain system run schedule and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Maintain lab consumable inventory.
• Clearly communicate timelines, effectively manage expectations, and plan to minimize operational downtime.

This role may be for you if:
• Candidate will be proficient in the latest automation technologies and have hands on experience troubleshooting and maintaining various automated instruments.
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills and easily adapt to a rapidly changing fast-paced team environment

To be considered for this role, you must have a B.S or M.S. in Science/Engineering or related field with 2+ years of automation experience. We need someone with direct experience operating Hamilton Stars (or closely related) using Venus software is required. Shown track record of successful operation of automated platforms vital for a screening lab. We would like someone with experience using various third-party devices controlled by Hamilton and/or HighRes resources. Experience with HighRes Biosolution's Cellario software is preferred, as is experience with running integrated platforms such as Cellario, Genera, Overlord and Green Button Go.
