Sanofi seeks an experienced and highly motivated scientist to support programs in development of targeted nanoparticles for immuno-oncology. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and execution biochemical and in vitro characterization assays. He/she will support projects from early development and will have opportunity to work in a cross-functional environment. The candidate must be driven, resourceful, and able to work independently. Excellent organizational skills in management of data, reagents, and equipment are essential. The candidate will participate in regular team meetings and present results, interpret data, and formulate conclusions. Teamwork, collaboration with colleagues across disciplines, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical. The position is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and perform assays to characterize the in vitro performance of targeted nanoparticles.

  • Isolate primary human cells and maintain a variety of cell lines.

  • Design, execute, and analyze flow cytometry experiments.

  • Perform biochemical analysis by SDS-PAGE, ELISA, Octet, and Western blot.

  • Work in a BSL-2 environment.

  • Analyze and interpret data and draw conclusions to help decide next steps.

  • ‏Document all protocols, experimental data and results in electronic notebook following Good Documentation Practices.

  • ‏Present data and conclusions in regular group meeting.

  • Contribute to daily laboratory activities (including procurement and organization).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years experience or Masters Degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry or a related field in the Life Sciences.

  • Must have permanent US work authorization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of fundamental immunology and prior experience with in vitro assay development and flow cytometry is preferable.

  • ‏Preference will be given to candidates with background in the biotech/pharma industry.

  • ‏Experience with nanoparticles, cell therapy, and RNA is preferred.
