One of our clients is implementing a flexible work model that will allow employees to blend working from home with periodic meetings at its facility. This will require new policies, procedures, and systems for multiple departments with the company. We are looking for a seasoned project manager to partner with the client’s Head of Human Resources to design the return to office plan and oversee implementation in the fall.  This individual should be proactive and detail-oriented with strong leadership skills, excellent problem solving, and superb written/verbal communications.  The position is expected to last 6 months but if it is a good fit, may be extended for additional client projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the design and formation of a working team and governance model
  • Partner with team members to create a project plan with key deliverables and timelines
  • Manage project scope and keep the team focused on executing the return to office strategy
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to review deliverables and gather feedback
  • Create and manage a SharePoint site to store and share documents for the project
  • Meet regularly with team members to assess progress, identify risks, and resolve issues
  • Prepare regular status reports & escalate issues as needed
  • Coordinate the review and testing of new policies, procedures, and systems prior to go-live
  • Lead the communications and training strategy to ensure a smooth implementation

Key Experience

  • 8+ years of project management experience
  • Project management certification preferred but not required
  • Pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience preferred
  • Experience managing and delivering complex, cross-functional projects
  • Abilities to assess projects in broad organizational context and to advise business leadership of strategy, timelines, status, and challenges
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to inspire and influence at all levels
  • Ability to see the big picture and recommend pragmatic solutions that keep the teams moving towards their objectives
  • Fully proficient in Excel, Power Point, SharePoint and Smartsheet
  • Travel up to 10%
