Regeneron's Formulation Development Group is seeking a R&D Specialist as we work to support all stages of pre-clinical, clinical and commercial formulation and product development for different drug product modalities. In this role, you will apply biochemical and biophysical methods to carry out characterization and development studies on viral vector products and other therapeutics. In addition, you will conduct research in collaborations with Research and Preclinical Development to develop new technologies and platforms.

A Typical Day in the Role of R&D Specialist Might Look Like:
• Execute formulation development, characterization, and stability studies to support formulation and drug product development for viral vector products and other modalities.
• Develop phase-appropriate biochemical and biophysical methods for characterization of stability and degradation mechanisms of drug products.
• Perform routine sample analysis to support development and stability studies.
• Author technical documents.
• Utilize statistical tools for data analysis.
• Present work at internal and cross-functional meetings.
• Participate in general lab and instrument maintenance.

This role requires a M.S. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Molecular Biology, or a related field with 0-5 years of relevant industry working experience. Good understanding of protein chemistry, biophysical/biochemical characterization of proteins, analytical method development, structure biology, and biomolecule product development is desirable. Hands-on experience with biochemical and biophysical techniques for protein characterization such as chromatography, gel electrophoresis, particle size, viscosity, spectroscopy, and thermostability characterization is desirable. Familiarity with common laboratory software (Empower, ELN, etc.). Experience using statistical software for study design and data analysis. Prior experience working with viral vectors for gene and cell therapy products is a plus.
