R&D Associate, DNA Core

We are looking for an R&D Associate to join the DNA Core. Our group provides Regeneron laboratories with services vital for conducting scientific research. These services include, but not limited to, Nucleic Acid isolation and purification, Sanger DNA Sequencing, Cloning, Gene Expression and Genotyping.

In this role, a typical day may include:
• Basic laboratory work including pipetting, culturing, and PCR.
• Work with automated systems including robotic liquid handlers.
• Follow protocols and trouble shoot when vital.
• Work with a LIMs database.
• Analyze data and assess quality.
• Contribute to lab and equipment maintenance and order supplies and reagents.
• Build and maintain a safe, effective and efficient working environment.
• Maintain accurate and complete records consistent with company policy and legal requirements.

This role may be for you if:
• Enjoy communicating and interacting with researchers to discuss ongoing projects
• Are comfortable conducting data analysis using Excel and other analytical programs.
• Are excited to contribute to technology development by conducting experiments, leading to process improvement

To be considered for this role you must have a Bachelor's degree and 0-4 years or master's degree with 2 years of exposure to basic laboratory techniques including pipetting, culturing and PCR. We need someone with experience with or willingness to learn various robotic systems, and basic experience programming in Python, Java, Perl, and/or R a major plus. You should have a high comfort level of analyzing data. A strong willingness to learn, high conscientiousness with attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
