Ambrx Biopharma, Inc. is a pre-IPO clinical-stage biologics company focused on discovering and developing a novel class of specific and selective engineered precision biologics, using our proprietary platform technology that allows site-specific incorporation of synthetic amino acids (SAAs) into proteins within living cells. Our product candidates are designed to overcome the inherent limitations of conventional conjugation approaches that use non-site-specific conjugation, in order to optimize for safety and efficacy benefits across multiple therapeutic classes in broad therapeutic areas. Ambrx is currently seeking a Contracts Admin / Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain and improve contract management protocols and systems that track and predict our relationships with third party vendors and pharmaceutical partners

• Primary activities to focus on finance, IP and business development as we implement third party contracts with research, manufacturing, clinical, regulatory and ultimately commercially focused vendors, service providers, consultants, clinical sites, and collaborators in the life-sciences industry

• Maintaining a contract management system to include standard confidentiality, consulting, service, material transfer, work orders, clinical trial agreements and capture details such as milestone payments, R&D reimbursement, renewal and expiration

• Interface contract management with the legal, clinic operations and finance contract management systems and protocols

• Track contracts, support contract policy implementation, support submission of contract request forms and perform duties related to other projects as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, MBA, or other related graduate-level degree in general business, legal or finance disciplines preferred

• Minimum of 4 years professional industry experience

• Minimum 2 years previous contract development or related experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech or related industry

• Experience in corporate legal department, law firm or clinical operations group

• International contract experience

• Strong administrative and operations skills

• Strong knowledge of current policies, guidelines, and other legal issues that affect contracts

• Capacity to help create and enforce contract protocols

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information

• Detailed oriented, ethical, multi-tasker, problem solving, deadline driven

• Proficiency with Excel, and PowerPoint
