Viral Vector Development & Manufacturing - Senior Process Engineer / Senior Scientist,

SUMMARY: Technical leader in an innovative cell therapy start-up. Will bring biopharma industry experience in viral vector development and production for large scale viral manufacturing for clinical track, downstream purification. Requires exceptional DOE, analytical, innovation, and communications skills to collaborate well and lead well within this team-based biotech. Reports to a tech-savvy senior manager who’s supports skill-growth and independence. EDUCATION / INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate will have an MS or PhD and  several years’ biotech industry experience in viral vector development and production for large scale viral manufacturing for clinical track, downstream purification. EXPERIENCE THAT ALSO INCLUDES: * use of  viral vector production technologies such as filtration, TFF, and column chromatography; * understanding of CQAs; addressing  phase appropriateness and scale-up challenges; * bioreactor process development used in viral manufacturing; * suspension-based systems; * medium selection and optimization for cell culture and final formulation; * use of analytical tools such as qPCR and flow cytometry. * track record promoting collaboration and communication as a leader and team member.
