The Aging group is committed to discovering novel targets and innovative medicines to treat Age-Related Disorders through an enhanced understanding of Aging. We are seeking a highly motivated research associate to support our discovery and development efforts pertaining to mechanisms of in vitro biological experiments vital to develop cell-based models and assays for testing of experimental therapeutics and for mechanistic biology studies.

A TYPICAL DAY IN THE LIFE AN R&D ASSOCIATE IN THIS GROUP MIGHT LOOK LIKE:
- Validating and advancing various pre-clinical model projects for Age-Related Disorders of various types

- Establishing and performing in vitro assays

- Primary cell and cell line experiments, including transfection and transduction of new cell lines and the design of related CRISPR guides

- Molecular profiling including RNA production for RNA-seq

IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS ROLE:
This position requires a Minimum of a Bachelors Degree and 3 years of proven experience working in a lab. This experience must include:

- Cell biology

- Cell Culture work

- Molecular biology - Cloning; Western and RNA analysis

We feel that some background in Aging or in Age-related disorders would be helpful but not required.
