Purpose:

The primary objective of this position is to provide financial leadership for the Revenue Management system, Contract Lifecycle Management and Gross To Net teams. This role directs maintenance, optimization and building of system solutions to enhance operational and analytical capabilities of revenue management, compliance, and analytics.  Executes long-term strategic roadmap for Revenue Solutions utilizing strong subject matter expertise.

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Directs implementation and maintenance of revenue management and analytic solutions by representing AbbVie Commercial Finance Operations business.
  2. Leads collaboration with Commercial Finance, Contract Operations, BTS, vendors, and other key stakeholders in areas related to revenue management solutions.
  3. Serves as the Project Manager on implementations / integrations of revenue management solutions by helping prioritize key issues, ensure communication, consistency, identifying project uncertainties, alternative resource plans, and other risks.
  4. Responsible for understanding all revenue management systems utilized by the Commercial Finance / Contracts & Pricing team, understanding overall business requirements, and translating these into enhancements to existing system(s) and/or new software specifications.
  5. Collaborates with BTS to ensure revenue management system is flexible and scalable to accommodate potential future contracting strategies and required contract operational activities.
  6. Work with Revenue Operations to define business processes that support new system to achieve operational efficiencies. Provide ongoing leadership regarding operational efficiency.
  7. Builds long-term strategic roadmap for revenue solutions, including revenue management, analytics, accruals, gross-to-net and forecasting. Responsible for implementing the long term road map and ensuring success.
  8. Directs selected special projects related to Revenue Management including but not limited to: Gross to Net integrations, wholesaler chargeback evaluations, ensures appropriate SOX controls are in place, and development of “Audit-ready” documentations.
  9. Fosters an environment that focuses upon process improvements to drive greater efficiencies and stakeholder value.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-10 years in the areas of US pharmaceutical revenue management, pricing, and gov’t price compliance.
  • 10 years Revenue Mgmt System (Model N, Revitas) Experience - System Implementation and User SME
  • Project Management experience managing large scale projects that involve business process changes and change management
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • Outstanding Presentation Skills and prior experience presenting to executives
  • High level of familiarity with all applicable laws and regulations and commercial contract operations processes
  • Excellent financial analytical skills a must in addition to advanced capabilities with Excel, Access, or equivalent database management tool.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and accurately interpret and communicate (written and oral) procedures and policies.
  • Ability to manage projects and provide guidance/training to direct reports and others in the department as needed.
  • Attention to detail and deadlines, and a history of adherence to policies and procedures is critical.
