Element Biosciences is a multi-disciplinary startup focused on innovating genetic analysis tools for the research and clinical markets. The Company's technology will broaden the end user experience through improved data quality and simplified workflows to benefit discoveries and diagnosis in healthcare.

Based in San Diego and reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Associate Director of Digital Marketing will lead the development and execution of an omni-channel plan for engaging customers and driving desired behavioral change.
 
Our ideal candidate has a strong background in growth marketing, demand generation, ABM, and web marketing. S/he is data-driven and highly analytical, with a relentless focus on customer acquisition, retention, expansion, and referrals. You are a digital marketing expert with proven experience in planning and executing full-funnel multichannel campaigns and tactics. S/he has the ability to influence others and drive alignment across diverse cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will also possess a self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit and exhibit business ethics and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops Element Biosciences’ digital strategy and leads day-to-day execution of digital campaigns, tactics and programs to drive digital engagement, product sales, and other business objectives
  • Partners closely with product marketing to develop digital strategies, metrics, content and execution plans that drive business objectives
  • Develops and experiments with innovative digital approaches to educating different target audiences in the life sciences
  • Management of vendors, agencies to support digital marketing initiatives
  • Manages onboarding and integration of the Marketing Automation Platform (Pardot in SFDC) and the associated setup, integration, and management of the Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Manages SEO/SEM efforts, partnering with external agencies and internal collaborators, with a focus on website content
  • Provides thought leadership and execution of content syndication programs
  • Provides guidance and support throughout web design changes and other online projects
  • Builds and maintains our social media presence
  • Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identifies trends and insights to optimize spend and performance
  • Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing
  • Plans, executes, and measures experiments and conversion tests
  • Utilizes strong analytical ability to evaluate the end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points



Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; MBA is preferred
  • 8+ years in digital marketing experience required across various channels, particularly within the biotech industry
  • Management experience a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of traditional and non-traditional marketing channels including SEO, marketing automation platforms, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns
  • Strong knowledge of analytics and reporting including website and advertising analytic tools
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Solid knowledge of website, social media, and marketing analytics tools
  • Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis
  • Highly innovative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM modules and apps such as: Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Pardot, Survey Monkey, etc
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Demonstrated track record of getting things done and growing responsibility over time
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
