Amgen is using newest technologies in the cloud computing Infrastructure, ML/AI algorithms, robotic automation, DevSecOps practices, Platform as a Service, and other modern automation technologies to build new drug therapies for patients that address grievous illnesses.We are seeking a Process Optimization Engineer leader to fill a position in Amgen's Process Simplification and Automation team. Our teams are group of high-energy, motivated doers that want to improve the lives of our partners through continuous process and efficiency improvement via the use of automation software technologies.Responsibilities:Leadership in defining technical and process improvements with many groups of business, IS and vendors to develop in more automated fashionAssessment of processes to identify potential key issues or bottlenecks (process discovery, definition/mapping, visualization, cataloging, mining) Process design techniques that identify solutions to make processes more efficient by stop, simplify, and automate (Process redesign, future-back thinking, clean-sheeting, design thinking) Assessment of opportunity value and tracking of progress against important metrics for projects within process simplification and automation scope (financial analysis, track backlog, opex/time savings) Ability to map optimized processes to set of technical solutions and platforms with automation approachPartner with business and technology teams to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements and solutions.Responsible for leading key client relationships that are essential for the capability that this role will support.Work closely with automation/software engineers, architects and technical SMEs, to deliver optimized digital solution and increase adoptionBasic Qualifications:Doctorate degree ORMasters degree AND 2 years of Information Systems or Statistical Analysis experience ORBachelors degree AND 4 years of Information Systems or Statistical Analysis experienceORAssociates degree AND 10 years of Information Systems or Statistical Analysis experience ORHigh school diploma/GED AND 12 years of Information Systems or Statistical Analysis experiencePreferred Qualifications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and technical expertise to be able to communicate effectively with business and technology partners
  • Solid experience in business analysis and process mapping
  • Continuous improvement approach (i.e LEAD, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies (such as Sprint and Scrum) and DevOps
  • Experience working in product teams and having service delivery approach
  • Self-motivated individual with proven ability to learn new concepts and technologies, work cross-functionally in teams (internal and external)
  • Demonstrated ability of leadership, collaboration, project management
