PacBio has a unique opportunity for a highly motivated Commercial Process & Channel Operations Manager to take ownership of programs, processes, and enablement in support of our direct and indirect (channel) business. In partnership with our Distributor Account Mangers and Commercial Leadership, the Commercial Process & Channel Operations Manager will establish the necessary infrastructure to drive revenue growth, expand global reach and improve the customer experience across channels. A key Commercial Operations team member and leader, the successful individual will work closely with other functional groups such as sales, service, marketing, finance, and logistics to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned to priority initiatives and that the required resources are identified and allocated. The role will be responsible for a broad scope of Operational activities including but not limited to, process excellence through both direct and indirect channels across lead to order workflows, partner portal management, channel performance measurement, process automation and pipeline management best practices. Many of these responsibilities will require enhancement or net new creation and the Commercial Process & Channel Operations Manager will be looked to as a key leader to develop these.

Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with the Commercial leadership Team to deploy strategic operating plan to drive results on key initiatives and projects in support of targeted growth and Commercial excellence
  • Review and document current Commercial operations process infrastructure with the goal of highlighting areas for improvement, generating actionable prioritization and leading initiatives to execute
  • Defining a distributor/channel partner profile, assessment criteria and process by which new channel partners are reviewed, onboarded, and regularly measured
  • Creating and supporting in partnership with regional Commercial leadership channel partner programs and resources for use by our distributors
  • Working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, support, legal, finance, and other stakeholders to regionalize and implement programs and process in both direct and indirect channels to ensure alignment across the business globally
  • Driving the enablement and skill development of our channel partner community through optimizing access to internal resources and training
  • Work in close partnership with Commercial Analytics resources to implement and manage reporting tools to enable our Distributor Account Managers
  • Optimizing and streamlining global Commercial processes and procedures
  • Advocating and driving the development, management, and evolution of our partner portal to create an engaging platform for partners to interact with PacBio for information sharing, lead generation, sales enablement, and opportunity management


Experience/Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Excellent track record and background in Commercial operations supporting process excellence and business execution in both direct and indirect channels
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to Sales, Operations, Support, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and Senior Leadership
  • Flexible and able to work in an ever changing and demanding environment
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational skills, oral/written and presentation skills, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with senior managers and other influential stakeholders
  • Direct channel partner management experience a plus
  • Familiarity with Next Generation Sequencing business model a plus
