GRAIL is seeking a motivated Senior Supply Chain Data Analyst who will transform data into insights that drive business value. The individual will drive strategy and execution of supply chain analytics, including development of leading and lagging performance indicators; data extraction, ad-hoc reporting, data automation through use of databases, data warehouses and data lakes, creating data visualizations, and comparing data to industry trends.

The ideal candidate will have supply chain experience in reagents and consumables inventory management in a life sciences environment. He/she will possess strong visualization skills and experience building and managing dashboards using Power BI or Tableau. The role will provide support for production scheduling of internal operations. In addition, this individual will perform analysis of demand and forecast data for long and short-term planning, taking into consideration lead times and production capacity, providing recommendations for process and system improvements.

You will

• Work in collaboration with executives and operational managers to translate the business needs into analytic and reporting strategies through the development, execution and resourcing of routine and project specific plans for analytics delivery.
• Analyze and interpret supply chain & operational data and provide recommendations based on the results. Educates & trains user community on reports and visualization toolsProvide customized ad-hoc reports extracting data from internal systems and databases using SQL or using Business Intelligence tools. Summarizes data in business and financial terms for management, executives, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and implement leading and lagging Supply Chain performance indicators.
• Monitor performance, proactively identify improvement opportunities to improve supply & demand planning, material availability, inventory accuracy, and operational cycle time.
• Play a key role in our Data Governance initiative by developing data standards, data governance and data integrity monitoring. Provide insights and recommendations for material lifecycle management, capacity planning, and safety stock levels
• Drive solution development, internal customer communications, and monitoring of department efficiencies through cross-functional projects
• Work on supply chain design and process improvement projectsIdentify key issues across a broad range of areas and effectively communicate recommendations to Lab Operations leadership
• Translate business requirements into project and technical deliverablesReview, analyze data and reports to assist management in coordination of efforts to achieve desired outcomes

Your Background will include:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain or other areas of relevance (e.g. Science, Engineering, Business) and a minimum 5 years of experience in a medical device/life sciences environment; or Masters degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience
• Strong analytical skillset and ability to translate business processes and data into insights and solutions
• Strong visualization skills and experience building and managing data visualization dashboards
• Project management skills to enable the prioritization of tasks for Supply Chain
• Problem solving mindset, and an outstanding business data analytics acumen
• Solutions-driven ability to evaluate situations, and quickly and efficiently identify options resulting in appropriate outcomes
• Demonstrated excellent ability working in a complex, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
• Demonstrated ability to develop ad-hoc tools/processes as needed in a start-up environmentAPICS certification is a plusUnderstanding of basic MPS/MRP principles and logic
• Excellent working knowledge of BOM's/routings, manufacturing processes and operations, MRP/ERP setup and operationsExcellent attention to detail, but with a keen awareness of the big picture
• Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and also collaborate well with colleagues and internal/external customers
• Stays up-to-date on new technologies and methods across data science and data visualization
