Schrödinger seeks a Biologics Technical Lead to aid us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods!

As a member of our Life Sciences Software team, you'll work with cutting-edge, physics-based technologies in drug discovery. Your background in computational chemistry and biophysics, biomolecular simulations, and/or protein science will make you a key contributor in our efforts to revolutionize the way protein-based therapeutics are discovered.

Who will love this job:
  • A skilled computational biophysicist who understands protein science, thermodynamics, and the modeling of biomolecular conformational changes using physics-based methods
  • An expert Python programmer who's worked in UNIX/Linux environments

  • An excellent verbal and written communicator who understands computational biologics drug discovery and biotherapeutics

What you'll do:
  • Lead a team of engineers and work with scientists to develop novel methods to accurately model proteins and their structural conformations
  • Facilitate breakthroughs in computer-aided drug discovery by delivering novel methods with unprecedented levels of accuracy
  • Develop an in silico protein therapeutics design platform
  • Design software that is robust, adaptable and easy to maintain

What you should have:
  • PhD in computational chemistry, biophysics, molecular modeling, or a related field
  • Experience in developing molecular modeling software
  • Peer-reviewed publications on antibody, enzyme or peptide modeling, computational chemistry/biophysics, structural biology, and/or protein science
  • Expert-level knowledge of Python
  • A track record of successful, goal-oriented team leadership
  • Experience developing software for antibody modeling is a plus
