As a Director of Medical Education you will develop the strategy, planning & execution of independent medical education (IME) grant support and impact. You will provide expertise in professional education and its impact on patient care.
We work in a multifunctional, matrix organization, working closely within Medical Affairs group and Research & Development, Commercial, Access & Reimbursement, and Patient Advocacy.

A typical day may include:
• Assessing educational needs in targeted HCP cohorts for therapeutic area interest(s) and provide ongoing gap analyses to internal partners
• Developing and evolving medical education strategy, budget, and plan(s) for grant support in therapeutic area interest(s) that align with overall Medical Affairs strategic imperatives
• Directing and supervising the receipt and administration of grants in assigned therapeutic area interest(s)
• Executing the evaluation of grant requests with Grant Review Committee to ultimately improve patient outcomes by supporting professional education programs that advance scientific and medical understanding of relevant disease areas, clinical advances in the management of disease, and evolution of standards of care
• Evaluating outcomes analyses from grant recipients to determine impact of supported programs and collaborate with IME Data Analytics on meta studies determining trends and gaps in professional education
• Directing, overseeing and presenting dashboards and reports for partners on IME results and achievements
• Actively participate in and contribute to IME team and cross-functional team meetings
• Provide strategic guidance and advice to Medical Education, Medical Affairs Commercial and other partners both within Regeneron and outside
• Foster and maintain compliant partnerships with educational providers and external partners
• Support and reinforce compliance mechanisms to adhere to all governing medical education regulations and Regeneron policies
• Manage and conduct special projects and other departmental responsibilities as assigned

To be considered for this you are required to have a Bachelor's degree with an advanced degree a plus and a minimum of 8 years' experience with a medical education, communication, agency and/or pharmaceuticals. Experience in CME, principles of adult and clinical learning, and outcomes methodology is required; Knowledge of the Ophthalmology therapeutic area is required. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or medical affairs is desirable. Expertise with medical and regulatory affairs, drug development, FDA and regulatory guidelines (i.e., PhRMA guidelines, OIG, AMA, ACCME, Sunshine Act, etc.) Ability to develop comprehensive and integrated medical educational plans that meets business objectives and successfully disseminates education to positively affect patient care is needed.
