The AbbVie Endocrinology Inc. (AEI) Business Technology Solutions team is working to transform AEI business into an agile technology and data driven organization. This is a great opportunity to be a part of this team in leading the delivery of mid to large-scale, BTS initiatives designed to help improve efficiency & decision making. The AEI UX Design Manager will be responsible for end-to-end service experience and interaction design. This individual will use a broad understanding of the access and reimbursement ecosystem paired with patient services information needs to own business relationships and lead a team in the execution of user centric design initiatives across disciplines and subject areas.

Additionally, this individual will be responsible for demonstrating practical and innovative approaches while helping drive the technology strategy and execution for AEI. UX Design Manager will enable the solution design in alignment with Delivery and Architecture team. He/she will work on web design, user-centered design, graphic design, human factors engineering, user interface (UI) design, information architecture (IA), Interaction design (IxD), usability testing, Customer communication and marketing for AEI BTS. The ideal candidate will be a proponent for innovation, best practices, sound design with data & information optimization in mind, strong development habits, and efficient team/project structures.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

Graphic & Communication Design: Designs graphics, user interface and communication and represents the aesthetics or look-and-feel of the front-end of any user interface.

Information Architecture: Organizes Information architecture of products and services to support usability and findability of websites, SharePoint sites and software systems and is also concerned with metadata: for content objects such as documents, people, processes, and organizations. Designs navigation and the way in which the interface elements are placed so as to regulate the users’ movement through the information architecture and make it simple.

Interaction design: Understands interaction design and how it can enable a pleasurable end-user experience to conceptualize design that matches user expectations and standards of the latest UI patterns and components.

Usability: Designs good Usability so a system can be used by users to achieve specified goals with effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction across both digital and non-digital areas

Usability Testing: Tests usability of systems to evaluate how real users use the system and measure of how fast a user can perform given tasks to test the efficiency and intuitiveness of the system.

Accessibility: Designs accessible system with ease of reach, use, understanding and high overall comprehensibility of the information and features to shorten the learning curve.

Documentation: Write communications documents, training documents, user requirements and functional specifications to detail features that need to be included in the product to meet the users’ expectations. Expenditure of more resources than was planned. Regular assignments are completed with minimal supervision.


Qualifications

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree  with 7 years of experience
  • Lifesciences, healthcare analytics background preferred.
  • Experience in designing UX/UI for complex business applications 
  • Experience in Mobile, Web and Data Apps UX/UI design 
  • Experience with design concept tools (InVision, Axure,HTML/CSS/JavaScript) 
  • Experience with UX strategy, UX methodologies and best practices
  • Create design deliverables such as specifications, user flows, process flows, wireframes, blueprints, mockups, and prototypes 
  • Expertise in Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or similar design tools (Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator are preferred)
  • Proven track record in multi-team (technical/ operations/ business systems/ business) project delivery
  • Experience with offshore/ onshore/ near shore resources
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience preferably supply chain, manufacturing, quality
  • Experience in Agile development environment
