Account Executive, Trade & Channel (Remote)


What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world! The Trade & Channel team is responsible for ensuring patients and providers have access to Amgen products when and where they need it. The team manages relationships amongst Amgens largest channel partners, including Full Line Wholesalers Specialty Distributors, Specialty Pharmacies, and Retail Chains and are the internal subject matter experts on channel strategy. Trade is responsible for Amgens US Sales, over $17B annually.

In this vital role the Trade & Channel Development Account Executive is responsible for supporting account management functions with pharmacies and internally with cross-functional stakeholders and business partners.

Key job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Account Management: develop and maintain strong relationships with pharmacy accounts, execution of programs (ex. patient support programs, data services, marketing) between internal and external partners, ongoing monitoring/review of contract performance metrics, lead and execute quarterly business reviews

  • Analytics: Strong analytical skills to develop value analyses on programs, scenario planning analysis, financial updates

  • Brand liaison: channel expertise and insights to help inform decisions related to brand strategy, provide feedback on all pharmacy related marketing content, including field messaging. Evaluate opportunities to continue to drive business objectives. Broad support of Amgen portfolio to ensure up to date product information has been deployed to accounts

  • Work cross functionally with Contracting, Coverage & Pricing, Patient Access, Market Access, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Trade Operations, Safety, and Compliance

  • Travel up to 25%

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Trade/Channel or Account Management experience


Masters degree and 4 years of Trade/Channel or Account Management experience


Bachelors degree and 6 years of Trade/Channel or Account Management experience


Associates degree and 10 years of Trade/Channel or Account Management experience


High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Trade/Channel or Account Management experience
