Senior Manager,Strategic Panning and Operations- Final Product Technologies

What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. Final Product Technologies (FPT) has an opportunity within the Process Development (PD) organization at the Thousand Oaks location. As a member of the FPT Senior Leadership Team (SLT) this person will be primarily responsible the organizations strategic planning across a diverse set of activities and engineering disciplines. This position will serve as a business liaison within Operations, including the Process Development sub-functions and Final Product Technologies Quality and will accountable for the functional budget, resource forecasting, capacity management, and functional digital initiative management. The FPT SP&O Sr. Manager will be required to manage staff in Thousand Oaks as well as other sites and will be asked to lead and execute strategic projects as necessary.

  • Lead and manage the FPT SP&O team

  • Chief of staff to Vice President Process Development, FPT

  • Deep understanding of FPT groups and responsibilities, as well as Operations Commercialization and Design Control deliverables to lead development of resource forecasts and models to enable and analyze capacity

  • Partner with PD functional business planners, Final Product Technology Quality, and Device Regulatory to ensure accurate forecasting and representation of work

  • Accountable for data analysis and administration/sustainment of FPT resource forecasts

  • Accountable for management of FPT capital and expense budgets, including target setting, performance and forecasting

  • Establish, track progress, and communicate risks to delivering to departmental goals, objectives, and key results

  • Oversee resourcing, scoping, and execution of FPT Digital Initiatives (HLEE, PLM, EDL, etc.)

  • Project management of key FPT initiatives

  • Work with FPT Leadership Team to plan and facilitate FPT SLT and XLT meetings, off-sites, and strategy sessions, including meeting minutes and tracking of action items

  • Generation of key executive level presentations

  • Adoption and Implementation of new digital tools to increase collaboration and efficiency of team

  • Ensure timely and relevant collaboration

  • Up to 10% Domestic and international travel may be required

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Project Management, Strategy, or Operations experience

OR

Masters degree and 6 years of Project Management, Strategy, or Operations experience

OR

Bachelors degree and 8 years of Project Management, Strategy, or Operations experience

OR

Associates degree and 10 years of Project Management, Strategy, or Operations experience

OR

High School Diploma / GED and 12 years of Project Management, Strategy, or Operations experience

  • 5+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or other Healthcare-related field, direct Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) or Design Controls experience

  • Ability to foster collaboration and work effectively with cross-functional leaders and teams

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interface across all levels of the organization

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Deep knowledge of Project Management tools, and practices. Experience with MS Project, Excel, MS Teams, and SharePoint
