JOB TITLE:

Laboratory Development - Immunoassay

COMPENSATION: 

$61,000-$68,000, Based on Experience.

RESPONSIBLE TO:

Development Manager

GENERAL DUTIES:


Conduct enzyme immunoassay (EIA) research and handle development projects to obtain FDA 510(k) clearance and CLIA categorizations to bring new products to market * Additional duties may be added as the need arises

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

-Prepare drug conjugates for immunoassay development

- Conduct immunoassay optimizations

- Proficiently work on a variety of clinical analyzers

- Analyze and interpret data; record methods and results using good documentation practices

- Prepare and present technical data summaries for design review and regulatory submission

- Present and explain project results at team and project meetings

- Effectively organize, prioritize, and plan experiment/work schedule

- Assist in the transfer of completed development projects to Production

- Participate in, and provide support to, Production team through hands-on troubleshooting and regular communication

* Additional duties may be added as the need arises

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- B.S. in Biology or Chemistry or related field

- 2+ years of R&D laboratory experience

- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills

- Detail oriented, excellent organizational and documentation behavior

- Proficient with Internet/e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs are required

- Able to work in a cold room periodically, which is kept at 2 – 8°C (35.6 – 46.4°F)

* After hiring, required to provide a vaccination record and confirm current Hepatitis B status and COVID-19 vaccination status

PREFERRED:

- M.S. or higher in biology or chemistry related field with R&D laboratory experience

- Knowledge and experience with immunoassay research INTERVIEW PRESENTATION

- All candidates must give a brief PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation detailing their graduate level thesis work and/or R&D laboratory research

- B.S. degree: 10-15 minute presentation, 10-15 minute Q&A (Total: 20-30 minutes)

- M.S. / PhD degree: 25-30 minute presentation, 10-15 minute Q&A (Total: 35-45 minutes)

INTERVIEW PRESENTATION

- All candidates must give a brief PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation detailing their graduate level thesis work and/or R&D laboratory research
