Job Details
This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing company and to have a large impact on developing a technology that will have far-reaching impact across biological sciences.
The position will be US based, in the South San Francisco, California office.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the reagents and track record of all details, such as part numbers, batch numbers, expiry date etc., in an organized format.
- Maintain inventory of reagents, consumables, stocks and ordering as needed.
- Receive and maintain the reagents/consumables from the Manufacturing team on a weekly basis and record the details.
- Perform reagent inspection (e.g., CoA verification) and coordinate with the manufacturing team when any defects or abnormalities are found.
- Coordinate with the manufacturing team and report any update or problem in the supplies immediately to the R&D team staff.
- Follow the work instructions or SOPs and perform the reagent stability experiments.
- Analyze the data sets and present in the team meetings.
- Assist the engineers and other team researchers by providing support as needed.
- Perform other duties as relevant to lab operations such as receiving deliveries, forwarding packing slips, invoices to the finance department.
- Work with the purchasing department to ensure follow-up on quotes, new orders, backorders, and alternate solutions.
- Maintain a clean work environment including glassware, instruments, and workspace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Associate degree in biological or chemical sciences discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in biological or chemical sciences discipline
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Ability to maintain an organized record and lab management.
- Experience with reagent preparation & qualification
- Strong documentation skills and ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Ideal Candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or related discipline
- Strong analytical mindset, detail oriented, and adept using Microsoft Excel or other tools to communicate and present data.
- Knowledge and experience with using PCR and qPCR systems.
- Versatile and adaptable to new methods, technologies, and approaches.
- Relevant experience working in a GMP/GLP environment.
