Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Responsible for Assisting in streamlining the End to End Clinical Business Operations processes that support and enable the execution of the clinical strategy. The Director CBO will assist and provide input to strategic direction and optimization of globally aligned processes to support functions across CD
2. Provide SME to assist in creation of proactive resourcing strategies and ESP/FSP engagement, help design business use case models through cost planning and modeling, internal/external partner engagement. Liaise with appropriate stakeholders
3.The Director of CBO will engage both internal and external collaborations that utilize innovative solutions to streamline reporting, provide analysis and scenario planning in real time
4. Assist in reviewing processes and outputs related to operational budget forecasts, POs, Invoices, Accruals, Actuals, Risk/sensitivity. Liaise with Finance
5. Provides key business partner support to senior managers to ensure alignment of CBO processes to address current and future business needs
Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Education
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree in related field desirable
Experience
At least 10 years’ experience within the Pharma / Biotech / CRO environment.
Prior experience in any/all of the following disciplines: global sourcing, legal, clinical; program budget management, resource management, strategic planning preferred.
Comprehensive understanding of Clinical Business Operations best practice, processes and standards as well as current regulatory requirements supporting clinical trial activity.
Proven ability to work effectively both independently or in a team setting, and to meet set goals by managing own timelines.
Involvement in cross-functional, multicultural and international clinical trial teams preferable.
Knowledge of financial analytics and planning
