  • Responsible for ensuring that the equipment, capacity, and distribution system for all utilities / WTP are capable of supplying the site requirements, applying overall knowledge of the interaction among the various types of utilities and manufacturing operations. Identification of actions and programs to optimize systems’ performance, adjusted to variable manufacturing / demand volumes, evaluating the overall impact of recommended actions. Anticipation of future demands, future cost trend.
  • Ownership, Operation, and Maintenance of all Utilities / WTP Systems in Lake County. Directs the operation of the different utility / WTP systems. Responsible for the reliability, maintenance, and troubleshooting for all the specific utility / WTP systems across Lake County. Assure the operation of equipment and systems in a reliable, safe, and economical manner while meeting all applicable regulatory requirements, ensuring that the equipment capacity and distribution systems are capable.
  • Responsible for supervision and management of personnel and resources, including but not limited to: All facets of the Talent Management System (setting goals, growth plans, performance feedback, and performance assessments) for all direct and indirect reports. Developing and maintaining department training curriculums for each direct and indirect report. Serving as the conduit for communication within the department to ensure that leadership messages, organizational changes, and initiatives are communicated.
  • Development of capital budgets and LRP capital projections for utilities / WTP and other infrastructure systems. Plans for future needs over the LRP period and estimates capital requirements for projects to be included in the Capital Plan and LRP. Estimates timing of authorizations and expenditures for projects included in the Capital Plan and LRP. Reviews engineering analyses and cost estimates for capital projects. Directs the analyses of alternative proposals.
  • Responsible for preparation of operating plan budgets, reporting of actual results, and analysis of variances from plan. Prepares annual operating plan budgets and periodic updates. Directs the analyses of variances from plan division reporting of utilities operations and to identify exceptions for operating management attention. Monitors and tracks department financial data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)for the organization, and drives improvement initiatives across the team.
  • Ensure compliance with company, local, state and federal specifications, codes, rules and laws as well as federal certification and validation requirements regarding production and distribution of utilities. Provide resources and support as required for regulatory inspections for compliance in such areas as Quality performance (FDA), environmental performance (I EPA, USEPA) and water discharge (NSSD).

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering required. Masters Degree in Engineering or MBA preferred.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in the following areas of responsibility: Engineering design (preferably plant engineering) Capital project analysis (financial and technical) Budget preparation and analysis. Engineering analysis of processes/operations. Managing multiple engineering disciplines.
