Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Based in San Diego and reporting to the Associate Director of Product Marketing, the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of instrument engineers, application scientists and commercial operations teams alongside your marketing colleagues in support of growing our market presence and ensuring customer success.
 
Our ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who will take a hands-on approach to supporting the needs of the customer, excelling at both downstream marketing as well as upstream strategic thinking as a collaborator, aiding in the prioritization of new applications and product definitions.
 

What will you be doing?

Leading in the critical role of Product Life Cycle Manager of platform technologies serving the Life Sciences.
Creating and executing compelling Go-to-Market strategies with well-defined business objectives & metrics.
Leveraging Data Science resources to drive strategies that enhance Market Qualified Lead generation.
Communicating closely with customers to translate their evolving needs into impactful business strategies.
Driving critical business decisions as the voice of the customer within different multi-functional teams.
Executing downstream market development activities to enhance efficient customer acquisition, generating content to support the preparation of marketing collateral and digital content.
Supporting Operations teams to meet forecast and define high efficiency inventory management processes.
Collaborating closely with R&D product developers to speak to market requirements and help drive on-time delivery of key milestones of new product development.

Communicative and engaging leadership style, working well in teams with diverse experience levels and subject matter expertise.
 Ability to adapt to change and manage ambiguity with poise in a dynamic environment.
 Well organized with methodical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Solid financial acumen with the ability to model opportunities into business cases.
CRM experience, specifically Salesforce experience preferred.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Education/Experience

 
Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular or Cell Biology. Advanced degree preferred.
 8-10 years product management experience or combined minimum 5 years product management experience and advanced degree in Life Science or Business related. (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)
 Recent professional experience in genomics technologies highly preferred.
