Summary
Join our Biology team to bring transformative oncology drug combinations to cancer patients. The Biology group is seeking a motivated, energetic, and skilled individual to aid in advancing novel immunotherapy drug candidates from the discovery phase into the clinic.

Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and executing in vitro assays using both primary immune cells and cancer cell lines to demonstrate the mechanism of action for new drug targets. The research associate will also play a key role in evaluating in vitro and in vivo activity of drug candidates by performing ex vivo analyses of tumor-infiltrating immune cells using flow cytometry, gene expression analysis, and histology of tumor sections. A successful candidate will contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment to design and execute experiments as well as analyze the data, interpret the results, and present the findings internally.

Qualifications

  • BS / MS degree in cell biology, immunology, or a related field with a minimum of 1-2 years’ research experience, preferably in an industry setting
  • Experience with the isolation and culture of primary immune cells
  • Working knowledge of immune-based in vitro assays, flow cytometry, and data analysis/visualization software
  • Competency in common molecular biology techniques, such as ELISA, nucleic acid extraction, real-time PCR, western blot, and transfection methods
  • Familiarity with mammalian cell culture techniques, ideally having performed experiments with cancer cell lines using both 2D and 3D culture methods
  • Prior experience with in vivo mouse tumor models is highly preferred
  • Candidates should have a track record of success in experimentally addressing key scientific questions and objectives
  • Preferred personalities are willing to learn and adapt quickly, take initiative when warranted, and are amenable to changing objectives and goals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
