What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you willdrive change within our GlobalSecurityteamcharged with the safety and security of our company. This position will report to theDirectorGlobal Security: Center of Excellenceand will work in partnership with various Amgen business partners from HR, Facilities, IS, LAW,andCompliance. We work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on developing programs that scale, and which are impactful. If you enjoy speed, autonomy, and driving change, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational security and safety measures concerning Amgen and our staff members.

  • Work closely with internal and external intelligence andlaw enforcement.

  • Maintain regular communicationsto ensure that all concerned parties are well informed.

  • Drivecontinuous improvements forcost and operational efficiencyasthe program scales.Partner to refine and implement an incident response program aligned with key stakeholders.

  • Manage site security officers, provisions, and overseeany third-party vendors providing staffing in collaboration with Workplace Site Leadership.

  • Responsible for iterating on Amgens incident management protocols and business continuity planning.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to expand security protocols and procedures.

  • Analyze data,providemanagement reporting, and develop strategies for responsible programs.

  • Educate staff members on physical security policy, standards, and methodologies.

  • Manage cross-functional relationshipsto ensure policy, process, and systems are aligned to meet the needs of the programs.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 2 years ofCorporate, Law Enforcement orSecurity experience

OR

Masters degree and 4 years of Corporate, Law Enforcement or Security experience

OR

Bachelors degree and 6 years of Corporate, Law Enforcement or Security experience

OR

Associatesdegree and 10 yearsofCorporate, Law Enforcement or Security experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Corporate, Law Enforcement or Security experience

  • 10+ years of experience working in thecorporate securityor U.S. government security function

  • Ability to leverage existing networkwith law enforcement agencies responsible for site where Amgen operates, enabling Amgen to remain informed ofcritical developmentsimpacting site

  • Priorexperience with a federal, state, or local law enforcement agency responsible for general inspection, investigation, intelligence, or compliance

  • Exceptional communication skills, including demonstrated ability to triage andadvancematters of importance to executive-level management

  • Strong computer and systems knowledge

  • Experience with contract negotiations, budgeting and expenditures

  • Strong leadership experience includingcoordinatingrelationships withcross-functionalteams

  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, andanalytical skills
