Who You Are:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated scientist to join the BridgeBio Oncology Therapeutics (BBOT) group in South San Francisco. This successful candidate will join a group of investigators developing novel small molecule cancer therapeutics. This individual will lead a variety of molecular and cellular biology and biochemistry experiments to empower the optimization and progression of our lead oncology research programs. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and growing environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, perform and oversee the evaluation of molecular targets, therapeutic concepts, and agents
  • Define critical path studies needed to support hypothesis-based research
  • Analyze, interpret and present complex data, formulate conclusions, and propose experimental strategies within the context of broader project goals
  • Maintain knowledge of scientific advances and competitive activity from literature, scientific meetings, and external contacts
  • Supervise, train and develop junior scientists
  • Work closely with medicinal chemists, PKDM scientists, and pharmacologists in a team matrix environment


Education, Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree, post-doctoral training, and ≥ 4 years of experience in oncology drug development, including cancer cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and genomics
  • Those with experience in development candidate selection are especially encouraged to apply
  • Experience in cell signaling pathways, i.e. RTK, PI3K, and MAPK pathways highly desirable
  • Must be able to work in an innovative, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
