We are seeking a Senior R&D Specialist to join the Oncology & Angiogenesis research group of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in Tarrytown, NY. The successful candidate will support the screening, characterization and development of therapeutic antibodies for cancer treatment, with a focus on cancer cell signaling. This is an opportunity for a researcher with strong cell biology skills to contribute to the development of industry-leading medicines.

As a Senior R&D Specialist, a typical day may include the following:
• Develop and perform cell-based bioassays to screen and characterize therapeutic antibodies. Including various cell functional assays, ELISA, Western blot etc.
• Perform FACS analysis on human/murine cells and tumor samples
• Maintain and culture tumor cell lines. Engineer cell lines using lipofection, nucleofection, viral transduction etc.
• Perform imaging analysis using fluorescence microscopy and high content imager
• Perform basic molecular biology tasks including PCR, cloning etc.
• Analyze data using software including Microsoft Excel, GraphPad Prism, FlowJo etc.
• Present data at internal group meetings
• Write study reports and maintain accurate electronic notebook records

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior R&D specialist with a Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree and at least 6 years of experience in industry to join a highly interactive oncology team. Prior experience in developing and performing cell-based assays is essential. Strong background and hands-on experience with multi-parameter flow cytometry is required. Should be capable of performing basic data analysis using FACS software (e.g., FlowJo). Familiarity with basic molecular cloning techniques, ELISA, Western blot, microscopy or IHC is a plus. Prior experience in signal transduction, oncology or immune oncology is highly desired. Proficient computer skills and experience in collecting and analyzing data is a necessity. Experience with basic scientific analysis software including Microsoft Office Excel, GraphPad Prism etc. is required. Excellent verbal and communication skills.
