The Muscle and Metabolism team is looking for a driven Temp - R&D Associate to join the team. We are seeking a candidate who will contribute to research projects aiming at developing therapeutics to treat metabolic diseases. The candidate will perform a wide range of cell and molecular biology experiments; such as cell culture, DNA transfection, establishment of stable cell lines, RNA extraction, qPCR, western blotting, ELISA, MSD, luciferase assays, and other cell-based assays. We seek a highly motivated candidate with strong research background.

As a Temp - R&D Associate in Muscle and Metabolism, a typical day may include the following:

- Perform in vitro and ex vivo experiments, analyze data, record results in electronic notebooks, and generate study reports
- Perform bioanalytical assays to support in vivo studies, including RNA extraction, qPCR, ELISA, and western blots
- Develop cell-based assay systems, and perform cell culture, transient and stable transfection, and high throughput luciferase assays
- Assist in vivo mouse assays/experiments

- You are proficient with commonly used software applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, GraphPad, Macvector)
- You are able to work in a highly collaborative and fast pace work environment

To be considered for this role, you must have a BS/MS and strong background in cell biology and biochemistry with a minimum 4 years of experience working in a lab. Proven experience with mammalian cell culture, transfection, luciferase assay, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, Western Blotting, ELISA, and immunofluorescence cell staining is preferred.
