How you will Achieve More with Intellia:

The Director, IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance is responsible for the administration, implementation, and oversite of the IT Governance, Compliance, Risk, Data Management, and Data Protection strategies for Intellia in order to align with relevant laws regulations, and industry standards. This role will collaborate with peers within the HR, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, Quality, and IT functions to assess and manage our compliance needs, manage audits, maintain our IT governance strategy, assess and mitigate risks.
  • Work with all business functions to understand the security risks and compliance requirements; develop a long-term corporate strategy for these areas.
  • Serve as an expert advisor to senior management in the development, implementation, and maintenance of information systems to ensure that best practice control objectives are achieved in protecting information assets.
  • Develop and execute an enterprise-wide compliance, security, risk, and privacy strategy.
  • Own the Information Security policies and SOPs; ensure they meet business requirements and align with US federal, state, EU, and additional global obligations.
  • Assess existing IT policies, guidelines, procedures, and standards in order to discover gaps and align the documents.
  • Perform IT Risk Assessments to identify, assess, and remediate threats internally and with 3rd party vendors.
  • Maintain and own Intellia's Change Management Program to ensure adequate controls are in place to execute IT changes.
  • Design and perform SOX internal audits to ensure regulatory compliance and company readiness
  • Drive security assessments for vendors and technology.
  • Work with the Legal, Regulatory, Clinical, and HR teams to develop and Intellia's data management and privacy initiatives.

Meet your Future Team:

This role will report directly to the Vice President, Information Technology. The IT team is made up of twelve other individuals, who bring a range of experience and knowledge. While a small team, you will join a group of passionate individuals who enjoying working with one another. Within the IT team, you will work with the Enterprise Applications group which supports our G&A applications including our in-scope SOX systems and HCM platform; our R&D Systems group which supports systems for Quality, Clinical, Regulatory, TechOps, and Research; and the Infrastructure and Operations team which has a heavy cybersecurity focus.

While the IT team is currently working virtually, we are tentatively planning a return to the office in September. Although in a virtual environment, the group has made it a priority to continue to foster a sense of community. This includes virtual happy hours, team all-hands meetings, game nights, and more! You can expect to join a hardworking, collaborative environment.
